Jean-Charles Allary graduated in 1984 with a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the University of Houston, Texas. He practises optometry in London since 1988 and is a member of the College of Optometrists. From 1985 to 2000, he was in charge and developed the courses of optometry, binocular vision anomalies and strabismus, at the Université Paris-Sud, France. He has been a part-time senior optometrist at the London Institute of Optometry, and regularly provides continuing education at Essilor Academy Europe. He is the author of a reference optometry textbook, in French. Since 2007 he’s a trainer for Essilor Academy Europe lecturing specially about binocular vision problems for the Francophone’s and Anglophones’ trainees.
